When
I started replacing the interior of my 1974 RG, I found that several of
the placards needed to be replaced. Cessna wanted as much as $45 EACH
for some of them. I chose to make the replacements myself and now offer
interior placards for all model years of Cessna FG and RG Cardinal
aircraft.
Over
the years I found many Cardinals flying around without placards that
are required by the Cessna Type Certificate Data Sheet. In order
to be legally airworthy your plane must have certain placards
installed. Read the Type Certificate data for more information:
There are three sets available:
1. Standard Interior Set ($35)
2. Switch Panel and Circuit Breaker Set ($35)
3. Fuel Filler Set ($10)
The Standard Set
includes ($35 for the set) all of the interior placards required by the
Type Certificate: airspeed limitations, emergency hand pump (RG),
maximum power mixtures (RG), tachometer limitations (FG), alt. static
air, ELT, side window speed limits, baggage limits, fuel selector, nose
strut, rudder trim, autopilot selector and more!
The Switch Panel and Circuit Breaker Set
for (also $35 for the set) includes the circuit breakers, the various
switches below the yoke and various other things on the lower part of
the panel.
I also offer placards for the Fuel Fillers on top of the wing ($10 per pair).
They come with a money back guarantee. Please specify RG or FG, model year and serial number (FGs also specify standard or long range fuel tanks) when ordering.
All
of the placards are laser printed on a self-adhesive polyester material
that has proven to be very durable. Most are white text on a
black background, some are the reverse. Three of the warning
placards are red text on a white background.
Each
set is made to order. There are just too many variations in the
model years to keep them all lying around. Plus, some people need
custom labels due to something they've installed or modified. If
there is something specific that you need, please let me know.
When ordering please provide your aircraft serial number. Each model year (defined by serial number range) is slightly different.
If you have a FG and are ordering the Fuel Filler placards, please also specify your fuel tank capacity in gallons (50 vs. 60).
Generally, it takes about a week to turn them around.
